Unusually Beautiful

This may not be beautiful for most people and is usually seen as strange or scary in the American society, but in certain tribes in Africa this scaring of the body is seen as beautiful. Certain marks have different meanings such as for morning, love, and some for looks. People in these African tribes all scar their bodies and see it as normal for everyone to have. If they came to different places around the world though not many people would approve of this look and find it disturbing that someone would scar themselves. But for the people of this tribe they see the scarring as attractive. I choose this picture because people have to challenge themselves in order to understand and think in a different perspective such as the people of this tribe see the beauty in it.

Something Beautiful

This picture was taken in Mexico at a resort. It caught my eye as I was walking by and made me take a picture because I thought it was so pretty. This is beautiful because of the color and size. Most people are attracted to a flower like this because it is natural. Another reason this is beautiful is because no two flowers are the same and are all individuals meaning you will never find a flower identical to another one.

      Susan Marinello would be my favorite designer that I found. I feel like her work would be close to my style and the design type I would follow. All her work is very clean cut and simple but beautiful and elegant.

Favorite Website

My favorite website would have to be the Southern Living website. I have always been infatuated with their magazines and style. I always find what they have on their website and magazines to be beautiful and very well put together.

Windows

I love all the windows in a small kitchen, they really open up all the small space and give the illusion of it being bigger than it is. Along with the natural lighting.

My Style

Personally interior design is one of the best ways for me to be creative. I view a room or a home as a giant canvas that can be filled with anything you want to, in order to make it your own. I have always been intrigued by magazines such as Better Home & Gardens and Southern Living. I love to picture a room and all the potential ideas that could go into it. I would describe my personal style along the lines of pottery barn and anthropology.
