Proportion and Scale

Six Images of Proportion and Scale
Proportion consist of the relationship of the parts to the whole and when all parts visual relate well with one another the space works. I used an exterior example of a walkway to a front door, each of the symmetrical shapes along the wale make up different scales but overall become proportional. The bottom right corner is of an interior pool along side wood, here it works because you have no floor and glass on one side and then on the other you do have regular ceiling and floor space. The other four examples are interior ones. Each represents a proportion in a room that is put that deliberately in order to cause proportion. For example the windows, benches, built-in bookshelves, and proportional seating arrangements.
