Repetition and Rhythm

Repetition AND Rhythm
Repetition is demonstrated when elements are repeated throughout a design, which can create unity, stability, comfort, and movement. The two examples of the many different picture frames nailed on the wall is the definition of repetition because it is constantly repeating. The top picture of the wood panelling creates the repetition of stability. The kitchen table with the three identical bronze lamps above shows repetition creating unity in the room. In the bottom left corner is an example of bookshelves carrying this quality. Lastly the chevron chairs represent movement and comfort through repetition and rhythm.
